April 3rd-9th 2011 was the week of the the 95th annual Minnesota Royal! The event attracts hundreds of students in the College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences to compete in a week full of events and ultimately build a stronger sense of tradition and community. On the final day I competed in the Professional Lamb Lead competition representing my fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho, and was named Champion! Lamb Lead is a contest designed to test a showman's knowledge of the wool industry, skills with handling sheep and complementing their animal by wearing a wool outfit. (Sheep are from the U of M).
